'Cookie' is looking for a caring companion who is willing to work with, and learn from, her special needs :-)
Cookie is a female Dachshund, who was born deaf and partially blind. She is very friendly and submissive, when in a 'safe to her' environment, and enjoys the company of men, women and children! Cookie knows hand signals for sit, down, come, stay and rollover. She is house and kennel trained, and even impresses her human friends with how well she makes her bed and pulls the covers up over her head to cozy in for a good sleep!!
Cookie loves going for leash walks and would especially love a fenced yard to explore! Her nose goes a mile a minute following all of those intriguing scents!
Although Cookie loves children, it is recommended that she goes to a quiet home with no children. In recent days, Cookie has experienced anxiety that has lead to aggressive outbursts. We are hopeful, that we can help Cookie manage her anxiety, thru managing her environment.
It is recommended that she goes to a quiet home with one or two adults, no cats, and no dogs, so Cookie can feel safe within a consistent routine. This girl has a lot of love and cuddles to give her human friends in return!!
Cookie is also happy to say that she has a Dog Trainer Friend who is willing to help her new owners understand her special needs, and help them understand what she is telling them thru her body language!!
This will help Cookie settle into her new routine with ease!!!
If you think you may be Cookie's new human friend, please msg me to book a meet and greet!!
Cookie has all her health care up to date, there is a cost associated with rehoming her.
Here is a very brief video of Cookie https://youtu.be/p7bgZUHqaBc
