Micotil is a drug used to treat pneumonia in calves and lambs.
While it is very effective, it is also lethal to humans in small doses!
Recently a producer accidentally injected 5.5 cc of micotil into his wrist. He was taken by ambulance to ICU where he was treated with supportive care for several days.
The learning point here is to always inject micotil using a one handed injection technique. Know the potential problems and #besafe.
Great news - The injured producer will be discharged very soon. The doctors involved with his case are putting together a paper on the circumstances and presenting it this summer in a San Francisco toxicology seminar.
