New Funding to Help Saskatchewan Livestock Producers Deal with Excess Moisture

What animals are eligible?

For feed transportation or livestock transportation, applicants must own, lease, custom feed, or custom graze any type of beef cattle, dairy cattle, bison, elk, sheep, goats, horses, caribou, deer, llamas, reindeer, or alpacas to be eligible.

For feed shortfall assistance, only breeding males and breeding females for beef cattle, dairy cattle, bison, elk, sheep, goats, horses, caribou, deer, llamas, reindeer, and alpacas that were owned, leased, custom fed, or custom grazed by the applicant on Oct. 1, 2010 are eligible. 

Only males of breeding age and used for breeding purposes in the applicant's own herd are eligible.

Non-breeding stock of all species are not eligible e.g. feeders, open heifers, calves, geldings, steers, animals of non-breeding age.
